Vacancy: Climate Change Project Officer

Based in Thua Thien Hue Province

We are looking for a Vietnamese national for the position of Climate Change Project Officer to work in our Emergency Team. The successful candidate can be based in Thua Thien Hue Province with travels to project sites.

Main Responsibilities

This position is responsible for the AusAID funded Community Based Adaptation Project activities, including: to implement climate change awareness raising activities, develop climate change adaptation community based model, build local government and partners’ capacity and prepare work plan and report.

Key Competencies:
• University degree in a related subject, e.g., environment, Food Security & Livelihood, community development, etc
• Minimum 1- 3 years of work experience in climate change adaptation, preferably with a NGO
• Experience of community awareness raising, climate change adaptation, and FSL
• Experience of working with local government and partners
• Experience of working with local government and partners
• Good communication skills and a positive attitude to team work
• Working level of spoken and written English
• Commitment to Save the Children’s values
