Please be informed that WWF-Vietnam is seeking for Consultancy service to conduct the studies on Participatory Social Impact Assessment (p-SIA), Biodiversity – Environment Impact Assessment (B-EIA) and endangered species researches in compliance with ASC standards at shrimp farm in Soc Trang province (The detailed TOR [1] is attached herewith for your reference.)
Objective of the assignment is to full researches on p-SIA, B-EIA and endangered species in order to identify and ensure farms’ conditions matching with ASC requirements to be ASC audited by independent certifying bodies
Expected qualifications of the consultants:
Consultancy service should have related background in food technology, business administration, rural sociology, agricultural economics, environmental sciences, biology, ecology, aquaculture or relevant subject with a minimum of Master degree in compliance with ASC certificated requirements.
Knowledge/Expertise:
- Minimum 3-years experience on technical consultant in aquaculture, particularly in shrimp standards.
- Having skills and experiences in p-SIA, B-EIA studies and endangered species in compliance with ASC requirements, familiar with the project areas are preferred.
- Consultancy service having the experiences in Mekong River Delta and shrimp or fish aquaculture value chains is preferred.
Experiences: Experience on consultant international standard Global GAP, ASC… in aquaculture, sociological, ecological and participatory approaches (such as PRA tools).
Skills and Abilities: Good at writing report and communication, understand local context..
