The Australian Embassy in Hanoi is seeking applicants to fill the Locally Engaged Staff (LES) position of LE7 – Investing in Women Specialist within its Economic and Development Cooperation, Australian Embassy in Hanoi.
The position will be on fixed-term of 2 years with the option for extension to 4 years term.
Key selection criteria
- Proven experience in gender equality, women’s economic empowerment and private sector development in Vietnam;
- Substantial knowledge of Vietnam country context, local public and private sector institutions, cultural and political nuances and government of Vietnam ODA approval processes;
- Excellent, coordination, networking and partnership building skills;
- Capacity to think strategically and strong judgement for making sound decisions on tasks/assignments with considerable complexity and sensitivity;
- High level communication (in both English and Vietnamese), and influencing skills with the ability to write clearly, quickly and convey information to a variety of audiences in a cross-cultural context; and
- Demonstrated capacity to work independently and as part of a team and to meet deadlines within a fast-paced environment
Commencing Annual Salary: $29,778 plus competitive benefit package.
