Save the Children is seeking for an individual consultant for softskills training for a core child-led groups of the Mang Non Club in Lao Cai. Details as below:
I. Services the supplier will provide:
The consultant will synthesize, compile teaching materials and conduct soft skills training for Mangnon Club to apply in secondary schools in the project area.
1. Some points to note when compiling lectures:
- The Mangnon Club (child-led groups) will operate on the principle of a core group of children.
- The Mangnon Club (child-led groups) will be built on the existing teams/groups in the school's team structure.
- Pay attention to local cultural suitability, gender issues and child protection.
- Child-friendly language and instructions
- Skills expected for the lecture, including:
- Presentation skill
- Planning skill
- Information gathering and analysis skill
- Leadership and group discussion skill
- Problem-solving skill
- General communication skill
Notes about organizing 01 training course to teach soft skills for core youth of Mangnon Club (child-led groups) group need to have:
a) 01 Presentation on:
- Presentation skill
- Planning skill
- Information gathering and analysis skill
- Leadership and group discussion skill
- Problem-solving skill
- General communication skill
b, 01 practice content for all (06) skills mentioned above
c, Pretest and Postest assessment form of the training course for trainees participating in the training.

II. Experience and skills required
1. Mandatory criterias:
- University graduate (or higher) in education, social sciences in related fields
- Have supported at least 02 models of youth clubs with the participation of children
- More than 5 years of experience in teaching soft skills for children
- Have at least 5 years of experience in the field related to the operation of the model of child-led groups.
- At least 01 Drafting document on Skills has been issued
2. Recommendedcriterias:
- Experience in communication in the community
- Experience of working with children, working with children in lower secondary
- Preferably have experience in providing similar trainings in country and NGO context;
- Preferably have experience working with children
- Good ability in speaking and writing in Vietnamese and English
