PHOTOGRAPHY SERVICE

TO CAPTURE THE PROJECT IMPACT

1. General information

With support from Habitat for Humanity Canada, Habitat for Humanity Vietnam (Habitat Vietnam) has been carrying out a three-year project in Thai Nguyen and Lao Cai Province which contributes to the improved living conditions and settlements for ethnic minority communities and reducing vulnerabilities to inadequate housing and exposure to health and environmental risks.

Project’s outcomes:

  1. Improved living conditions of ethnic minority groups
  2. Reduced health risks from hazardous materials and household practices
  3. Improved communal facilities and services
  4. Vulnerable ethnic minorities can respond to disaster risks and climate shocks by being involved in decision-making and managing disaster preparedness and climate change adaptation/ mitigation plans for their own communities.

Habitat Vietnam is looking for a consultant/service provider to take quality photos of the project’s homeowners to highlight its impact.

2. Objective of service

 

The objective of this service package is to take photos of and write brief impact stories in English about 05 supported families, PASSA groups, and public facilities such as communal houses or water facilities. The photos focus on highlighting the project’s impact on the target communities.

3. Scope of work, Description of service

The service provider will execute the following work:

  • Work with Habitat Vietnam to develop the shooting concept
  • Travel to the project sites to capture photos and write impact stories

4. Period of service/ Plan to implement

10 days of October to November  2023 (07 days working on the fields, 03 days preparing impact stories/ reports and other relevant activities

5. Location

Thai Nguyen and Lao Cai provinces

6. Outcome of service

For each province, the service provider will deliver:

  • 10 high-quality, edited photos for each family, approved by Habitat Vietnam
  • 05 short impact stories (01 story for each family)
  • 05 high-quality, edited photos of public facilities: community houses, water facilities (capturing beneficiaries using the facilities)
  • 05 high-quality, edited photos of the PASSA groups and their community-led initiatives

7. Requirements/ Selection criteria

  • Proven experience in professional photography
  • Experience in shooting photos and writing impact case studies for development projects, preferably in Northern Vietnam
  • Demonstration of the professional equipment to support the work
