DESIGN-MONITORING & EVALUATION OFFICER

Good Neighbors is an international, non-profit humanitarian organization that plans, implements and raises funds for the provision of services in child education, community development, health, sanitation, and disaster relief projects working in 45 countries.

Good Neighbors International in Vietnam (GNI) is implementing Community Development Projects (CDP) based on child sponsorship in 5 provinces: Ha Giang, Tuyen Quang, Hoa Binh, Thanh Hoa and Ho Chi Minh city. We focus on education, water & sanitation, income generation sectors in different areas of Vietnam.

Job title: Short-term Design-Monitoring & Evaluation Officer (DME Officer)

Effective date: July, 2023

Location: Head Office, Ha Noi

Type of contract: Short-term (After 6 months, can be considered for interview to be long-tem staff)                                           

1. KEY WORKING RELATIONSHIPS

Internal

External

Country Director, General Director, Division Managers/Team Managers/ Officers in HO, PMs, CDP Officers

GNI’s Donors, Partners, Governmental Officials, INGOs, Communities.

2. MAIN DUTIES

1.     Project design

  • Provide support for preparation and organization of meetings in Head Office include: Annual Action Plan, Annual Meeting of Board of Director
  • Be involved in preparation of proposal for 01 CDP;
  • Liaise with local partners to monitor and promote the approval process of 01 CDP.

2.   Project Monitoring:

  • Perform management of project data of Head Office;
  • Provide technical support for project data management of 07 CDPs. Include: instruct and remind CDP staff to make report in time, check the accuracy of report, classify and archive reports;
  • Summarize and analyze data to prepare regular reports of GNI (monthly and annual report) and other reports upon request of Division Manager (if any).

3.   Other

  • Implement other relevant tasks assigned by manager.

3. QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

Education:

  • University degree in DM&E, Sociology, Social work or Community Development and other related fields.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 01 year of similar role;
  • Able to work under pressure and solve the arising problem.

Skills

  • Ability to work independently and with the team;
  • Good organizing skills and interpersonal skills;
  • Good English language skills in writing & speaking
  • Good skills in computer use

Attitude

  • Sociable, responsive
  • Accountable and transparent.
