The Embassy of Australia in Hanoi is looking for a talented and energetic individual to fulfil the position of Economic Policy and Program Officer (LE5).

Working for the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, the Economic Policy and Program Officer works to established policies and procedures to perform a wide range of research, analysis and reporting related to Australia’s regional and bilateral trade and economic interests in Vietnam as well as providing aid program management support.

Applicants should have knowledge and experience of the Vietnamese economy, Vietnam’s trading relationships and Vietnam’s position in the region, experience in conducting research, analysis and preparing high quality written reports on economic and trade issues, and experience in aid program management with a bilateral or multilateral donor in Vietnam. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in a cross-cultural context (in both English and Vietnamese), including high-level interpretation, policy dialogue, networking and negotiation skills.

The successful applicant will be offered an initial contract for a 12-month period with an option to renew the contract for another 12 months. The Embassy will consider flexible work arrangements. The full-time monthly gross salary ranges from VND 41,268,375 to VND 47,968,430, depending on skills and experience.
