Resource Development Coordinator

Aide et Action International (AEAI) is an international NGO, headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland.  AEA International began its programs in 1981 and is now working in 19 countries across Africa, Europe, South Asia, Southeast Asia and China to support the development of sustainable education projects with our belief in the universal right to a quality education. Each AEAI intervention is based around this ethos.

AEA has been working in Vietnam since 2003. Our approaches focus on early childcare education, access to quality education, and inclusive education for children of ethnic minorities while planning to venture further into livelihoods education and education for girls and women. Over 15 years of experiences along with local communities, partner organizations, and local authorities, we have implemented a number of projects in various locations where poor and disadvantaged groups live.

We are currently seeking for a dynamic and enthusiastic candidate to fill the full-time position of  Resource Development Coordinator at AEA Vietnam office in Hanoi.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Resource Mobilization and Program Development

  • Assist Country Director with acquiring resources from international and national sources of funding (e.g. corporations, multilateral and bilateral organizations and foundations)
  • Co-lead concept note, proposal and budget development for institutional and other major funding agencies, and ensure adherence to specific donor requirements and organizational standards.
  • Develop and maintain database of donors
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of relationships with local, regional and international businesses and organizations
  • Assist in the execution of applicable fundraising and advocacy events either as an AEA initiative or in collaboration with partners
  • Assist in the support of partners’, including donors’ visits to project sites, including coordinating donor visits to programme areas
  • Conduct desk reviews, field assessments and information gathering for new program initiatives and support the initiation of new operations, in coordination with regional and country team members.
  • Develop strategic communications planning for promotion and dissemination of corporate and marketing contents
  • Develop and produce high-quality, informative, and interesting press releases, press kits, and related materials
  • Coordinate regularly with programme, finance and administration team leaders and perform any other tasks as agreed for overall operational needs

2. Program Accountability and Learning

  • Support on the development and implementation of program quality, accountability, evaluation and learning.
  • Strengthen monitoring, evaluation and reporting processes and tools that directly support program quality at the local level.
  • Support in the design of need assessments, evaluations and document key practices and lessons.
  • Effectively put in place best practices and lessons learnt for cross-educational programs so they can be shared and/or replicated.
  • Manage the documentation and communication of best practices that are coherent with the strategy, policy, systems & processes.
  • Maintain a donor-reporting matrix and ensure timely review and submission of high quality donor reports.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • At least University’s Degree in Economic, Project Management, Social Science, Education, International Development, International Relations or related;
  • At least 5 years professional experience development and/or fundraising.
  • Fluency in spoken and written English (writing samples will be requested)
  • Fluency in Vietnamese strongly preferred
  • Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook
  • Strong attention to details and ability to follow through
  • Knowledge of institutional donors in particular the European Union, French Development Agency and USAID, and corporates
  • Knowledge of education settings and practices, theory of change, result-based management, project-cycle management, measurement of quantitative and qualitative impacts.
  • Prior success working closely with and building relationships with staff, partnerships, and institutional donors.
