Monitoring and Evaluation Advisor
SNV Vietnam is looking for a Monitoring and Evaluation Advisor, based in Hanoi, Vietnam with travel to other provinces

SNV is engaged in the agriculture sector implementing Value Chain, Inclusive Business, and Climate Change Adaption & Mitigation activities.In agriculture, SNV works with smallholder farmers to provide innovative, market-based solutions to questions on market access, value chains, food security and sustainable production. As an integral component for effective implementation of activities is the team is in need of support from a Monitoring and Evaluation Advisor. This team member will be responsible for developing the monitoring and evaluation (M&E) systems for projects in agriculture program and providing quality assurance of activities and compliance to external donors and internal SNV systems.
Responsibilities
- Cooperate with colleagues in the agriculture program lead, apply and promote relevant planning, monitoring and quality assurance standards
- Maintain and update project records in the SNV internal standard systems and provide regular reports to project managers, Business Development Unit and agriculture team on project progress
- Implement project monitoring and quality assurance compliance at the field level for agriculture projects in conjunction with project staffs and stakeholders
- Train, advise and coach staff in the agriculture program as well as partners in applicable planning, monitoring and quality assurance standards
- Ensure the integration of gender mainstreaming and social inclusion into project implementation
- Be a resource of information for agriculture program staff related to planning, monitoring and quality assurance standards
- Facilitate peer learning and knowledge development through monitoring and evaluation
- Otherduties as required and may include but not limited to supporting advocacy &communications efforts, supporting/leading internal review activities, supporting project implementation activities
Candidate profile
- Vietnamese citizen
- University degree in International Development, Agriculture, Management or related field
- At least 3 years of relevant working experience at international developmentorganisations
- Familiar with project monitoring and evaluation tools and techniques
- Sound knowledge and experience in monitoring and evaluation of projects and or programsas well as gender and social inclusion
- Willingness to travel to project field sites on a regular basis
- Initiative, proactive and creative in solving problems
- Strong ability to work independently and with the team
- Good organizing skills and interpersonal skills
- Good oral and written communication skills (English and Vietnamese)
- Good computer skills in MS-applications (Word, Excel, Internet, Email)
Contract Duration: SNV Vietnam offers a one-year contract with the possibility of extension and a competitive salary package
