Vacancy: Consultant for Livelihood Assessment (20 February – 25 March 2011)

Work location: Quang Binh

They are looking for a National Consultant for Livelihood assessment in Bo Trach district, Quang Binh province. The assessment is part of an emergency response programme for flood affected communities in Quang Binh province. .

Main Responsibilities
The Consultant is responsible to develop typical poor household livelihood profile, including livelihood strategies and outcomes, identify flood affected households’ key constraints in restoring their livelihood, and come up with practical and realistic recommendations to inform program designs. 

Key Competencies 
Knowledge, experience and skills in livelihood programming, particularly assessment experience
Ability to design appropriate tools for research
Knowledge of Vietnamese rural livelihoods, especially in a post-disaster and recovery context.
