UNICEF Willing to Accompany Vietnam in Supporting Children in Ethnic Minorities

The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) stands ready to partner with Vietnam in aiding children, especially those residing in ethnic minorities and remote areas, said UNICEF Executive Director Catherine Russell.

Ms. Catherine Russell spoke at a working session with Head of the Vietnamese Mission to the United Nations (UN)-Ambassador Dang Hoang Giang on November 29. She spotlighted Vietnam’s achievements and efforts in protecting children’s rights, as well as its contribution to UNICEF’s missions.

For his part, Ambassador Giang thanked UNICEF’s support in implementing policies for children in Vietnam and its donation to the country's fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.
