VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT
SUPPORTING STAFF IN CHARGE OF ADMINISTRATION AND TRANSLATION
The project “Public Disclosure of Information and Communication Actions for Implementation of the Viet Nam-EU Voluntary Partnership Agreement on Forest Law Enforcement, Governance and Trade (VPA/FLEGT)” is a project under Viet Nam Administration of Forestry (VNFOREST), Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, with funding from the FAO-EU FLEGT Programme.
The project aims to prepare and implement essential information and communication actions for implementation of the VPA/FLEGT.
The project is seeking a position of a supporting staff in charge of administration and translation [1] to support the project management board during the project implementation. The supporting staff will work on a part-time basis, not exceeding 20 hours per week (equivalent to 2.5 days per week) or no more than 11 days per month.
Specific tasks:
The supporting staff will be responsible for:
- Undertaking administrative works, including keeping incoming/outgoing letters in an orderly manner, maintaining project office, supporting project accountant in payments, collecting invoices/receipts/vouchers;
- Supporting the organization of meetings, workshops under the projects, Core Group meetings, meetings between the Project Management Board with relevant stakeholders;
- Doing translation of documents, reports and other relevant materials from Vietnamese into English and vice versa;
- Doing interpretation at meetings between the Project Management Board and donor;
- Supporting the project accountant to prepare financial reports and scan invoices/receipts/vouchers in line with the FAO-EU FLEGT Programme’s guidelines;
- Supporting the Project Management Board to prepare progress reports as required by VNFOREST/MARD and in line with the FAO-EU FLEGT Progamme’s guidelines and existing legal regulations;
- Undertaking other tasks as required by Project Director and Deputy Director.
Qualification requirements:
- Graduate degree in administration, foreign languages, business administration, international economics or a relevant subject
- At least 3-year working experience in the forestry sector, having knowledge or experience relating to the VPA/FLEGT is an advantage
- Proficiency in English skills (listening, reading, speaking, writing and translation/interpretation skills)
- Having knowledge or experience in financial management is an advantage
- Proficiency in computer skill (Microsoft offices and internet)
- Good communication, reporting and analysis skills
