Chemonics International, a U.S. based international development consulting firm, seeks experienced professionals for the USAID-funded Global Health Supply Chain (GHSC) - Procurement and Supply Management (PSM) project in Vietnam. GHSC-PSM Vietnamserves as the primary vehicle through which USAID procures and furnishes health commodities, provides technical assistance to improve partner countries' management of the supply chain, and collaborates with key international stakeholders to support global health initiatives. The project is currently seeking qualified candidates to offer short-termtechnical assistance in bidding and procurement of pharmaceuticals to the Vietnam Authority of HIV/AIDSControl, among other short-term technical specialists.
Short-term Senior Advisor in Bidding and Procurement
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy, public health, medicine, economics, or other relevant degree required. Advanced degree preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Vietnamese law as related to procedures of bidding and procurement of pharmaceuticals at the national level.
- Minimum seven years’ experience in bidding and procurement for public health supply chains.
- Experience working with Vietnam SocialSecurity, Vietnamese Ministry of Health, and hospitals at the national- and provincial-levels.
- Fluency in Vietnamese required. Basic proficiency in English preferred.
Other short-term Senior Advisors/Technical Specialists
We are also seeking technical specialists with experience in the following areas:
- Logistics, warehousing, and distribution
- Pharmaceutical management
- Health systems strengthening (HIV)
- Supply chain coordination
- Contract management
Qualifications for technical specialists include:
- Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy, public health, medicine, economics, or other relevant degree. Advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of ten years’ experience in supply chain management for health commodities.
- Fluency in Vietnamese required. Basic proficiency in English preferred.
- Experience working with USAID-funded and/or other donor-fundedprojects.
- Experience working with the Vietnamese Ministry of Health and/or the Vietnam Social Security.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with the private sector, government entities, international donors, and other USG partners.
