Animals Asia is an international animal welfare charity founded by Dr. Jill Robinson MBE in 1998.Animals Asia is dedicated to ending cruelty and restoring respect for all animals throughout Asia.
In Vietnam, Animals Asia is collaborating with the Ministry of Agriculture & Rural Development to complete a world class Vietnam Bear Rescue Centre (VBRC) in Tam Dao National Park, Vinh Phuc Province.
Our primary goals are to end bear farming, contribute to the conservation of bears in Vietnam and in the region and improve the welfare of bears already in captivity.
Animals Asia is recruiting a Vietnamese national for the part time (3 days/week) Interpreter/Translator position to be based at the Vietnam Bear Rescue Centre in Tam Dao National Park, Vinh Phuc Province.
Location: Tam Dao National Park, Vinh Phuc Province
Type: part time (3 days/week)
Term: Two year contract extendable based on performance with initial 2 months probationary period.
Salary: Grade 4 (400 - 530 USD gross per month pro rata) and other benefits.
Description of duties:
• Interpret (English into Vietnamese and vice versa) during work activities, meetings, workshops or field trips.
• Translation of work materials from English to Vietnamese and vice versa.
• Provide administrative support when required.
Qualifications & Personal Requirements:
• University or technical college graduate, at least two years of relevant work experience in English speaking environment. Recent graduates with exceptional English skills will be considered.
• Demonstrated excellent interpretation and translation skills.
• Able to use the computer.
• Able to work weekends.
