The German Red Cross is part of the world wide Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement assisting victims of conflict and disaster and people affected by social or health related crisis. The Red Cross movement provides to vulnerable people assistance without discrimination as to nationality, race, religious beliefs, class or political opinions and adheres to the seven principles of the Red Cross movement: Humanity, Impartiality, Neutrality, Independence, Voluntary Service, Unity and Universality.
The German Red Cross assists in disaster response, rehabilitation and capacity building projects internationally on appeals of their sister organisations within the movement.
The German Red Cross (GRC) and the Vietnam Red Cross National Societies (VNRC) are implementing together different projects in the sector of Disaster Response, Disaster Risk Reduction/ Climate Change Adaptation, Community Based Health Care and Water Sanitation and Capacity Building.
The German Red Cross Delegation in Hanoi is seeking a Vietnamese national candidate to fill the position of full-time finance internship.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Specific tasks will include (but may not be limited to):
- Provide support in financial and administrative work;
- Mainly in charge of translation of finance documents from English to Vietnamese and vice versa;
- Support the finance team in quality checking of finance documents;
- Other finance related work;
- Upon GRC’s request.
Person specifications
We are looking for a student with qualification and experience and personal skills:
- Good English in writing and speaking;
- Preferabably background in admin/ finance;
- Competence in MS Windows programs, word processing, Excel, accounting software, etc;
- Willing to work following strict deadlines and ability to handle short time notice, work pressure;
- Good interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills.
Duration: Full-time; 6-month contract with possibility of contract extension.
