Sustainable Rural Development for the Poor Project in Ha Tinh province (SRDP) is implemented in accordance with the Financing Agreement between Government of Socialist Republic of Vietnam and International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) signed on 27/11/2013 at Rome, Italia.
Project goal is to sustainably improve income and reduce vulnerability of rural poor households in targeted upland areas of Ha Tinh. Project objective is to invest in climate smart, socially equitable and profitable rural development models that promote pro-poor market linkages, value chains and enhanced rural business competitiveness.
SRDP project is designed in 4 components, including: (i) Market-led Development Planning; (ii) Rural Financial Services; (iii) Market and value chain investment; and (iv) Project management.
With the aim of supporting project activities under Component 1, Sub-component 1.2 – Capacity building for market development, Project Coordination Unit of SRDP-IWMC Ha Tinh need to hire a national consultant team to carry out the study and planning of value chains (VCs), which is to be piloted in a project district in Ha Tinh.
Main tasks of such consultant team are to provide technical assistance to project staff in terms of VC planning and to conduct the VC study and planning in a pilot project district. The district’s VC plan shall be approved by District People’s Committee for adoption and steering implementation. Details are referred to the attached ToR [1].
