Education for Nature - Vietnam (ENV) was established in 2000 as Vietnam's first non-governmental organization focused on the conservation of nature and protection of the environment. Our mission is to foster greater understanding amongst the Vietnamese public about the need to protect nature and wildlife.
We employ creative and innovative strategies to influence public attitudes and mobilize Vietnamese citizens to live in balance with the natural world. We work closely with government partners to strengthen policy and legislation and directly support enforcement efforts in the protection of endangered species of national, regional and global significance.

POSITION DESCRIPTION
Position: International Team Leader and Capacity Building Volunteer for Wildlife Crime Unit (Volunteer position with stipend)
Location: Hanoi, Vietnam
Reports to: Douglas Hendrie, Chief Technical Advisor
Term: One year minimum
The International Team Leader and Capacity Building Volunteer is tasked with the following duties and responsibilities:
Capacity Building and Communication
- Oversee day-to-day running of the Wildlife Crime Unit
- Assist with management of crime database
- Hiring, training and capacity building of ENV staff
- Assist the manager with oversight and coordination of six staff
- Daily communications to the management board
- Coordinate and report on activities of ENV staff
- Administration tasks, monthly report writing and donor report writing
Special Projects
- Research, analysis and reporting
- Assist in fundraising efforts where applicable
- Other duties and special assignments as assigned by ENV Operations Director and ENV Management

REQUIREMENTS
- Native English speaker
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Supervisory and management experience desirable
- Strong research and analytical skills
- A passion for wildlife conservationAbility to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Strong multitasking and time management skills
- Prior employment in Vietnam (preferred)
COMPENSATION
- Volunteer position with monthly stipend (equivalent to national staff team-leader salary)
- Business/working visa after three month period
