Please be informed that WWF-Vietnam is seeking for capable candidate for the position of Consultant to develop handbook for sustainable forest management for plantation managers.
The Consultant is responsible for the development of a handbook to guide the specific steps for sustainable forest management for plantation, specifically to forestry companies. This handbook is a practical guide for plantation companies to improve their management system towards sustainability in accordance with international standards and to get forest certification.
Key requirements:
- Post-graduate degree, specialized in forestry and silviculture, especially who has the expertise and experience in sustainable forest management and forest certification.
- Have at least 15 years of experience in forestry sector, knowledgeable on the technical requirements of sustainable forest management and forest certification, deep expertise about Vietnam and international forestry sector, understand the requirements of the international forest certification standards, particular FSC standards.
- Ability to work in a team
- Good analytical and writing skills, especially developing guidelines (graphic design skills is an advantage)
- Ability to work independently, have the skills to work with a computer (word, excel, powerpoint, internet) and the ability to communicate in English
