1.Introduction
The Vietnam Business Challenge Fund (VBCF) supported by the UK Department for International Development (DFID) is designed to support the private sector in Vietnam to develop innovative Inclusive Business models that deliver both commercial benefits for the private sector and development benefits for poor people including job creation, income improvements and more affordable goods and services.
VBCF will offer support for Inclusive Business proposals across three areas including agriculture, low-carbon growth and infrastructure. These have been identified as areas in which private sector investment can deliver major impacts on poverty reduction and respond to development challenges in Vietnam, while also producing good returns on investment.
SNV Netherlands Development Organisation has been selected as Fund Manager to run the VBCF over three years (2012-2015). SNV is seeking an experienced and professional (team of) consultant(s) to develop VBCF brand identity.
2.VBCF Brand Identity
2.1 Objective: Building a strong visual brand identity (including visual elements, colour palette, font style and applications) for VBCF that invariably excites and captures the attention of the target audiences.
2.2 Key audiences:
- Private companies in agriculture, low carbon growth and infrastructure operating in Vietnam
- Business community in Vietnam including business, commercial and industry associations
- VBCF beneficiaries (poor people in Vietnam)
- Public Policy makers
- General public, with focus on public in Vietnam and the UK
3. Products
3.1 Logo and applications
Logo: An eye-catching and professional looking logo that:
represents and summarizes the 3 key characteristics of the VBCF: Innovation, inclusion and commercial viability (business) is easily recognized illustrates VBCF personality and the theme of the inclusive business it represents excites and captures the attention of businesses and public
Applications:
- A set of logo design including 3 or 4 options for selection which covers:
- Main applications including letter headed paper, business card, envelop A4 & A5, PowerPoint template, printing materials (brochure, poster, banners), website, videos, etc.
3.2 Slogan
A number of options for VBCF slogan that can go along with logo to be recommended.
3.3 Website design
To ensure consistent look of VBCF in all visual applications, design of VBCF website with an interactive interface will be included in this assignment. The consultant(s) may team up with a professional web designing company to develop this website
3.4 Format of deliverables
- Graphic design products will be delivered in the original format (Indesign or Illustrator), print-ready and web-optimized formats.
- The products will be delivered in both Vietnamese and English versions.
3.5 Timeline
This assignment will be carried out in 15 working days, to be allocated as follows:
Day 1: Meet with VBCF team, review of VBCF materials, clarifications of requirements
Day 2-3: Work on logo options and payoff/slogan options
Day 4-5: Discuss with VBCF team on logo options
Day 6: Decide with VBCF team on logo and color palette
Day 7-8: Develop logo applications (letter headed paper, business card, envelop A4 & A5, PowerPoint template, printing materials (brochure, poster, banners), etc.
Day 9: Discuss and decide with VBCF team on applications
Day 10-11: Work on website graphic design
Day 12: Agree with VBCF team on website graphic design
Day 13-14: Finalize all deliverables
4.Requirements
- International consultant(s), with minimum five years’ experience in producing similar communication materials
- Demonstrated conceptual and analytical ability
- High level of written and oral English proficiency
- Good level of understanding
