1. Background information:
Plan International is an independent development and humanitarian organization that advances children’s rights, with a special focus on equality for girls. Plan International has over 80 years experience and works in more than 75 countries across the world.
Plan International has been working in northern and central Vietnam since 1993. Our work supports marginalized children and youth, especially adolescent girls, to start life and grow up physically and mentally healthy and as adolescents so they are leading the way to shape their own future. We believe girls have the power to change the world. Our ambition is to work alongside them and together take action so that 2 million girls in Vietnam can learn, lead, decide and thrive by 2022.
With financial support from Australia Government (via Plan Australia), “Girl ready for future” is a new project for Plan Vietnam. This new project will integrate with and complement existing Plan Vietnam projects, including integration with a 'Gender responsive schools project'. The proposed approach and methods are innovative through piloting of a career guidance model in five Plan supported provinces with culturally appropriate adaptation linking TVET institutions with enterprises; promotion of parent engagement in career guidance and the application of a multi-disciplinary approach that engages stakeholders as key agents of change.
Plan International Vietnam needs to conduct the project baseline study of the project “Girl ready for the future”.
2. Plan International Viet Nam is seeking a qualified consultancy firm/group to carry out the baseline study, consolidate the data and produce the full English and Vietnamese report which will generate evidences for project interventions and measurement.
