Part-time National Consultants – (01) Climate Change & Nature Based Solutions Technical Specialist and (01) Clean Energy and Carbon Markets Technical Specialist
The Vietnam Field Support Services Project (FSSP), a bilateral development project funded by Global Affairs Canada (GAC), is seeking to recruit a part-time national Climate Change & Nature Based Solutions Technical Specialist (CC &NBS TS) and a part-time national Clean Energy and Carbon Markets Technical Specialist (CE&CM TS).
The national Climate Change & Nature Based Solutions Technical Specialist [1]will provide professional and technical advisory services to increase Global Affairs Canada (GAC)’s understanding on how to improve resilience to the impact of climate change, restore marine and coastal ecosystems for biodiversity conservation, and enhance livelihoods of vulnerable communities, particularly women as part of an overall climate change response in Viet Nam. The assignment will start October 2022 and will initially run until March 31, 2023 with possibility of further extension.
The national Clean Energy and Carbon Markets Technical Specialist [2]will provide professional and technical advisory services to Global Affairs Canada (GAC)’s in Vietnam in the area of clean and renewable energy and climate finance. He/She is expected to assist in the integration of climate change solutions into project planning, implementation, monitoring, reporting and policy dialogue, as well as to enhance the technical and institutional capacity of the GAC and its partners. The assignment will start October 2022 and will initially run until March 31, 2023 with possibility of further extension.
