The European Union funded project “Helping Vietnamese SMEs Adapt and Adopt Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) for Improved Linkages with Global Supply Chains in Sustainable Production” are carrying out by The United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) together with its consortium of VCCI, Eurocham, LEFASO, VITAS, VEIA, ILLSA, STAMEQ, MTEC and SEQUA. The overall objective of the project is to enhance the sustainable integration of Vietnamese SMEs into global value chains through an increased awareness, understanding and adoption of corporate social responsibility (CSR).
The project wishes to set up a network of candidates interested in work opportunities as short-term national/international experts for our activities in the period of 2011 and 2012 regarding following topics (detailed content following the subjects and issues of the ISO26000 including labor practices, environment, fair operating practices, consumer issues, community involvement and development organizational governance and human rights):
- Diversity management
- Rights at work
- Labor practices
- Health and safety at work
- Human development and training in workplace
- Prevention of pollution
- Sustainable resource use
- Waste treatment and water management
- Anti-corruption
- Promoting social responsibility in the value chain
- Intellectual property rights
- Consumer health and safety
- Sustainable consumption
- Consumer data protection and privacy
- Community involvement and development
- Employment creation and skills development
- Vocational training/education
Basic requirements:
- Excellent presentation and public speaking skills
- Profound experience and background in applied topic
- Experience in working with SMEs
- Basic knowledge on CSR will be an asset
- Knowledge of Textile, Footwear or Electronic sector is an advantage
- Having access to relevant network/community
Responsibility:
- Mainly developing and/or executing determined activities such as workshops, trainings, awareness raising activities, etc.
Remuneration:
Negotiable – depending on qualification, experience and performance of candidates
