The Japan International Cooperation Agency, JICA, Dec 7 will finance $2 million for Vietnam to speed up forestation projects from 2010 to 2012, the Saigon Giai Phong newspaper reported Dec. 8. Under agreement signed Dec 7 between JICA and the Vietnamese Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, the funding will be used to train Vietnamese forest management cadres from 23 provinces in northwestern, northeastern and central regions.
