Pro-Poor Partnership for Agro-Forestry Development in Bac Kan (Bac Kan 3PAD) is a project funded by the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD). The goal of the project is to achieve poverty reduction and improve life condition of rural poor people in Bac Kan through improving forest land management. Bac Kan 3PAD seeks to recruit the following positions :
1. International Eco-tourism Specialist
Qualifications and Experience Required:
- Post-graduate degree in agriculture, landscape, economic, (eco) tourism or related topics;
- Strong experience in development and management of ecotourism sector and rural area.
- Strong mentoring, facilitation and communication skills gained from in working with senior level managers, private enterprises or in other department;
- Strong mentoring, facilitation and communication skills gained from in working with senior level managers, private enterprises or in other department;
- A good command of written and spoken English. Knowledge of local ethnic minority languages would be an advantage.
Duration: In 2010: 2 months; In 2012: 2 months
2. International APIF Consultant (TA)
Qualifications and Experience Required:
- Post-graduate degree in agriculture or related topics;
- Strong experience in development and management of funding facilities, including operations manuals;
- Strong mentoring, facilitation and communication skills gained from in working with senior level managers, private enterprises or in other loan/donor funded projects;
- Demonstrated computer skills in MS Office and specifications for relevant database development,
- A good command of written and spoken English. Knowledge of local ethnic minority languages would be an advantage.
Duration: In 2010: 3 months; In 2011: 1 month
3. International Consultant Forage-based Hillside Conservation Farming Systems
Qualifications and Experience Required:
- Post-graduate degree in tropical forage production;
- Extensive experience in the development of sustainable forage-based hillside conservation
- Strong mentoring, facilitation and communication skills;
- Computer literacy
- A good command of written and spoken English
Duration: First Input - Two months during the first and second quarter of PY2; Second Input - Two visits each of 1month during the 1st and 3rd quarters of PY3.
Salary: 10.000 – 20.000 USD per month.
- Work place: Bac Kan 3PAD PMU Office, DARD with some visits to Project Districts ( Na Ri, Ba Be, Pac Nam).
