Project Officer

Save the Children in Vietnam (SC) works to promote every child’s rights to survival, protection, participation and development as set forth in the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child. The current programme focuses on the following core sectors: Health and Nutrition; HIV/AIDS prevention; Care and support; Education; Child protection; Child-focused emergency preparedness and response; Child rights agenda, including Civil society development, Livelihoods, Child poverty Research, and Advocacy for child-friendly development policy and practice.
Vacancy: Project Officer. Based in Can Tho
They are looking for a qualified Vietnamese National for the position of Project Officer to implement the project Women in Rural Vietnam: Responding to Markets in Can Tho City and Ca Mau Province.

Job Purpose
The Project Officer is responsible for implementing key activities to ensure access and quality of financial and technical training services to support income-generation activities of low-income woman micro- entrepreneurs in Can Tho and Ca Mau.

Key accountabilities
Project/program management and implementation (designing, planning, programming, budgeting, facilitation with capacity building, technical advices, monitoring, evaluation, documentation, presentation and reporting).

Key Competencies
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, economic studies, or foreign languages or related fields;
- A minimum of two years of professional experience in implementing livelihoods projects and/or women’s economic empowerment projects;
- Good understanding of microfinance operations, microfinance performance monitoring, and business development services is preferable;
- Demonstrated capacity to work in a team environment. Work independently, focused on maintaining high quality work;
- Experiences in successful implementation of a wide range of tasks within a project environment with tight timeframes and under pressure;
- Demonstrated capacity in working with local partners at various levels;
- Good working knowledge in English in both speaking and writing skills;
- Strong Vietnamese verbal and written communication skills;
- Good computer skills; MS office, Excel, PowerPoint. An experience with statistical software is preferred.
