Vietnam, South Korea Boost Collaboration in Resources, Environment

Vietnamese Minister of Natural Resources and Environment Dang Quoc Khanh met with South Korean Ambassador Choi Young-sam in Hanoi on March 6 to expand cooperation between the two nations in resources and environment, local media reported.

During the event, Ambassador Choi said South Korea pledges green ODA funds via the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) to support Vietnam’s energy transition and environmental goals.

He affirmed readiness to aid Vietnam in hosting the Partnering for Green Growth and the Global Goals (P4G) in 2025.

For his part, Minister Khanh sought South Korea’s support in environmental programs, including waste-to-energy plants and river restoration.

Stressing that collaboration is crucial for the implementation of Vietnam’s 2024 Land Law, he called for the South Korean assistance in building a transparent land database
