Vietnam Official Chairs Event to Discuss Draft Strategy on Education Development

On March 19, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha chaired the National Council for Education and Human Resource Development's session to discuss the draft "Education Development Strategy for the period up to 2030, vision to 2045," local media reported.

The draft strategy outlines five perspectives with the overarching goal of fostering comprehensive development for the Vietnamese people, maximizing the potential and creativity of each individual, cultivating a new generation of Vietnamese citizens characterized by integrity, ambition, and full qualities, intellect, and talent, providing high-quality human resources to successfully achieve the goals of prosperity, democracy, justice, civilization, and happiness.

It aims to construct an open, fair, and equitable education system, serving lifelong learning, towards standardization, modernization, democratization, socialization, and international integration, aiming to reach an advanced level in Asia by 2030.

In order to develop the strategy, Deputy PM Ha requested a thorough review to clearly identify the achieved and unachieved goals of the previous period, in order to propose comprehensive and selective solutions.

He also asked agencies to ensure vertical and horizontal inter-agency coordination, and clearly define the responsibilities of ministries, sectors, localities, and the state management role of the Ministry of Education and Training in implementing the strategy.
