Vietnam to Hold Biddings for WB-funded $301M Agro Transformation Project

The project management board, under Vietnam’s Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, will organize biddings to select contractor(s) for 30 packages of the Vietnam - Sustainable Agriculture Transformation Project with an investment of $301 million financed by the International Development Association (IDA), under the World Bank (WB). In the first quarter (Q1) of this year, biddings will be held for the package on chemical and equipment purchase worth VND3.46 billion ($149,137). The board will also select contractor(s) to implementing the VND390-million package on buying equipment for experimenting, measuring greenhouse emissions. The project aims to improve farming practices and value chains in the targeted areas and promote institutional strengthening of relevant public agencies to support the implementation of the agricultural restructuring plan.
