Vietnam Has First Online University

FPT Education system, a subsidiary of Vietnam’s leading technology firm FPT Corporation, on October 13 held a ceremony to launch the online university FUNiX. The first online university in Vietnam adopts new training methods, grants Information Technology (IT) diplomas, as well as career and soft skills certificates. Students of FUNiX university will study online and receive an IT diploma or certificate, depending on the learning period. Dr. Nguyen Thanh Nam, vice president of FPT University Management Board and founder of FUNiX University, said the training program will be divided into eight semesters. Students will receive a certificate after each semester and have an opportunity to find a corresponding job. (vov.vn Oct 13)
