Welcome to the VUFO-NGO Resource Centre Newsletter for 15 - 30 April 2013.

Please join us in congratulating Mr. Gary West, Country Director at FHI 360 in Vietnam, on his appointment as the new INGO representative to the Country Coordinating Mechanism (CCM) of the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria (GFATM).

Gary has served as the Country Director for Family Health International 360 in Vietnam since late 2012. He has more than 40 years' experience in public health program management and research, with many years' experience in Asia and Africa.

We wish Gary a successful tenure in this role.

The four INGO representatives to the Vietnam Development Partnership Forum (VDPF) -- formerly known as the Consultative Group -- are elected, for a term of two years, by member organisations of the VUFO-NGO Resource Centre at one of the centre's INGO Forums. As of April 2013 the representatives are:

- Kim N. B. Ninh, Country Representative, The Asia Foundation
- Thao Griffiths, Country Director, Vietnam Veterans of America Foundation
- Dung Le Kim, Associate Country Director, Oxfam Great Britain
- Thao Hoang Phuong, Country Director, ActionAid International in Vietnam

The Managing Co-Director of the VUFO-NGO Resource Centre, Marko Lovrekovic, also participates in the Development Partnership Forum meetings.

There is one Working Group meeting scheduled for the second half of April, 2013:

- Disaster Management Working Group meeting on 18 April at 2:00 PM;

The DMWG Workshop will take place at the NGO Resource Centre office, F1 Building, 218 Doi Can, Ba Dinh, Hanoi.
