Japan to Support Vietnam in Developing Waste-to-energy Technology

The Ministry of Environment of Japan (MOEJ) will help Vietnam’s Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment (MoNRE) in developing waste-to-energy technology, local media reported. The information was revealed at a recent meeting between Vietnam Environment Administration (VEA) and Japan’s Environmental Regeneration and Material Cycles Bureau. The two sides have discussed a plan to develop policy and technical requirements for the development of the industry. They also held a seminar on supporting policy of the Japanese government to implement waste-to-energy projects at Vietnam’s localities. At the meeting, Japanese experts have introduced waste management models and the current waste-to-energy technology that are being applied in Japan. (BNews, icon, VOVworld)
