The Asian Turtle Program's Ninth Tortoise and Freshwater Turtle Field Skills Development Training Course

The Asian Turtle Conservation Program (ATP) of Cleveland Metroparks Zoo, in cooperation with Cuc Phuong National Park’s Turtle Conservation Center (TCC) will be hosting its ninth annual field skills training course focused on research and conservation of tortoises and freshwater turtles. The course is aimed to provide students with basic knowledge about turtle ecology, field skills and survey techniques, field identification, field records, and other practical research methods. Through participation in the course, students will also become aware of the major threats to Vietnam’s tortoise and freshwater turtles, and the role Vietnam plays in the larger regional crisis facing Asian turtles.

Strongly encourage Laos’s students from Viet Nam Universities, Vietnamese students, young national biologists, rangers and conservationists.

COURSE FEE
