Background

Plan International was founded in 1937 as a development and humanitarian organization that advances children’s rights and equality for girls. Plan International Vietnam (PIV) starts the project on Young Health program (YHP) in January 2019.  The overall goal of the YHP in Vietnam is to contribute to improved health and well-being of young people between 10-24 years old in Hanoi. Specifically, it aims to ensure that young people in Hanoi have increased knowledge about risk behaviors and NCD prevention, which gives them greater capacity to make informed decisions about their health, in the context of improved health services, an enabling support system and policy environment.

Plan International Vietnam (PIV) and our partner at Hanoi Center of Disease Control is going to conduct the baseline survey for YHP project. PIV seeks to engage a consultant to conduct the baseline survey to help PIV to understand the current knowledge, attitude and practices relating to prevention NCD, Mental Health, Reproductive Health and Sexual Health for young people aged from 10-24, their parents school teachers and health staff.

The objective of the baseline survey is to assess the pre-project situation and capture baseline data on all programme indicators from the results framework developed by the YHP team, to enable progress to be monitored and changes to be measured over the course of the three-year intervention.
