Web Operation Manager

Job Overview

The Web Operations Manager is responsible for the operation and maintenance of OneSky's OneBigFamily website, a platform for early childhood trainers and caregivers to participate in online learning experiences, including the managing and creating of discussion forum posts, translation of content for upload, organizing of print material and video resources, and technical support to users.

The Web Operations Manager works closely with the in-country early learning specialist and trainers as well as the Distance Learning Director to promote ongoing participation on OneBigFamily.

Job Requirements

• At least one year of relevant experience as a web system administration professional highly preferred
• Be able to learn and get familiar with the basic skills of using World Press Platform
• A technical and organized mind
• Attention to detail
• Ability to describe technical information in easy-to-understand terms.
• Strong organizational skills related to managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines
• Strong work ethic with demonstrated collaborative and coordinative skills
• Experience teaching adults desired
• Broad knowledge of child development and education of young children
• Proficient English written and oral communication skills
• Strong Vietnamese written and oral communication skills

Job Responsibilities

• Work with the OneSky’s Global Programs Team to assist in the set up of OneBigFamily.
• Manage the day to day operation of all online activity and learning experiences on OneBigFamily.
• Verify and approve users’ posts and comments on OneBigFamily website in time.
• Record operation problems and work with the Global Team to solve problems and improve website efficiency.
• Develop rules and guidelines for users on OneBigFamily. Monitor forums to ensure they are adhering to the guidelines.
• Create and update User Manual.
• Manage access to the platform and provide support to users so they can maximize its potential.
• Support the translation and/ or creation of online learning materials such as written documents for group discussions or videos.
• Provide recommendations on the design, development and content of online learning materials.
• Work with program staff to create discussion topics that will engage targeted audience.
• Leverage engagement so learners will actively participate in online communities. Seek to increase exchange and dialogue if participation is low.
• Gather, analyze, or document user feedback to locate or resolve sources of problems.
• Complete tasks assigned by the Director of Distance Learning. Make regular reports to the director on: important user feedback and user engagement on One Big Family; plans to increase the number of website users; OneSky trainer feedback, and suggestions on how to address specific feedback.
• Analyze feedback on site usage and recommend changes that will improve the online learning experience.
• Keep up to date on current knowledge and best practices in the fields of child development and education.
• Other duties as assigned by Distance Learning Director.
