The Australian Consulate-General in Ho Chi Minh City is seeking suitably qualified applicants for non-ongoing Locally Engaged Staff visa processing (Level 3) and team leader (Level 4) positions within its Visa and Citizenship Section (managed by the Australian Department of Home Affairs).

The successful applicants will be expected to lead or work effectively in a visa processing team and will undertake visa assessments, conduct case investigations, and perform other administrative functions. Sound judgement, an ability to apply legislation and make decisions within tight timeframes, good organisational and client service skills, fluency in written and spoken English and Vietnamese, a strong work ethic and ethical work practices are essential.

Successful applicants will be placed on an Order of Merit and may be offered a position anytime during the validity of the Order of Merit.

The successful applicants will be offered an initial contract for either 1 year or 2 years. The full-time monthly gross salary rates are:

  • VND 24,357,525 to VND 26,789,175 for LE3; and
  • VND 28,364,925 to VND 31,364,508 for LE4.
