At present, Vietnam Country Office has programs in 22 out of 63 provinces in Vietnam.

We are looking for a Vietnamese national for Consultancy service, with following information:

I.    Objectives of the Consultancy:

The TOT is planned to organize in Can Tho city for 15- 20 trainers from Da Nang, Bien Hoa - Dong Nai and Can Tho cities, which aims to equip trainers with knowledge and skills to train youth, to familiarize themselves with business ideas when they are still at school and to convert their ideas into plan and practice with their peers.  The TOT will also address key principles and technique in working with female youth so that trainers can ensure appropriate approach in delivering business skill training to female youth for the utmost result that female youth attending training course could later on can develop and/or improve their own businesses for better livelihood.  

Participating vocational schools and related institutes are expected to adapt the business skill training program developed by ILO into the S2S context.

II.    Consultant’s responsibilities:

The consultant will perform following activities:

  • Apply the training materials developed by ILO into training with more focus on female sensitive approach. The training materials should include a template with scoring for screening and selecting the business plan that will be selected for small give-in-kind support from S2S project to practice the knowledge and skills that female youths acquired through the trainings. The training materials follow all details of the tentative training agenda and objectives proposed by S2S (2 days).
  • Deliver the TOT in Can Tho as per the proposed agenda, training materials and schedule agreed (3 days).
  • Submit a report to recommend follow-up activities for trainers and roll out training to make the training most effective to target youth (1day)

III.    Expected deliverables outputs:

  • An adapted business skill training materials with training guide for trainers and hand-out for participants for all sessions in the proposed agenda.
  • Training report that captures key proceeding and results, lessons learnt, and recommendations for trainers and for later roll out training for female youth (in both Vietnamese and English).

IV.    Duration/Timeframe:

  • Total:  6 working days excluding travel day(s) (travel day(s) will not eligible for consultant fee).
  • Expected timeframe: August 1 – September 30, 2018.

V.    Consultant’s Qualifications:

  • Experienced in developing and delivering business skill training;
  • Experienced in conducting training of trainers;
  • Good in using interactive approaches in training;
  • Experience in working with youth or enterprises will be a privilege; and
  • Good in motivating participants to learn and convey the approach to inspire participants to apply the knowledge and skills.
