Temporary Administrative Officer

ACDI/VOCA is a non-profit international development organization that delivers technical and management assistance in agribusiness, financial services, enterprise development, community development and food security in order to promote broad-based economic growth and vibrant civil society. Based in Washington, D.C., ACDI/VOCA has empowered people in developing and transitional nations to succeed in the global economy for 49 years and in 145 countries. In Vietnam, with funding from USAID, ACDI/VOCA is implementing the Sustainable Cocoa Farmers project. To date, ACDI/VOCA has introduced cocoa best agricultural practices to over 22,000 smallholder farmers in 6 provinces in the South and Central Highlands of Vietnam. 

ACDI/VOCA is now seeking an experienced person to work as the Temporary Administrative Officer for the ACDI/VOCA Vietnam Office. The estimated start date for this position is early January, 2013 through August 30, 2013.
- To be responsible for the receipt, despatch and accountability of all incoming and outgoing mail / pouch/ faxes and e-mail.
- To be responsible for handling visitors and telephone calls.
- To be responsible for ticket bookings and hotel arrangement, passport & visa for all consultants and staff.
- To assist in organizing events of ACDI/VOCA in Vietnam.
- To be responsible for the maintenance of Office Supplies stock.
- To be responsible for filing as requested by the Finance & Office Manager and Country Representative.
- To ensure proper maintenance of HCMC office.
- To attend to any other tasks related to office activities required by the Supervisor including but not limited to: translation and arranging the dispatch of items procured to the field office.
- To assist other departments when possible and needed.
DUTY STATION: Ho Chi Minh city.
- College or university-level.
- At least two (2) years experience in an administration position with responsibilities as described above.
- Fluency in Vietnamese and English language.
- Detail-oriented with excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team in a strongly collaborative manner.
- Experience working with international organizations, such as international non-governmental organizations is an advantage.
