RECRUITMENT FOR SPONSORSHIP SERVICES OFFICER

Good Neighbors is an international, non-profit humanitarian organization that plans, implements and raises funds for the provision of services in child education, community development, health, sanitation, and disaster relief projects working in 45 countries.

Good Neighbors International in Vietnam (GNI) is implementing Community Development Projects (CDP) based on child sponsorship in 4 provinces: Ha Giang, Tuyen Quang, Hoa Binh and Thanh Hoa. We focus on education, water & sanitation, income generation sectors in 6 different areas of Vietnam.

Reports to: Project Manager, SS Team Leader, Operation Division Manager.

 

 

1. KEY WORKING RELATIONSHIPS

Internal

External

Country Director, General Manager, Managers/Officers in HO, PMs, Project Officers

GNI’s Donors, Partners, Governmental. Officials, INGOs, Communities.

2. MAIN DUTIES
  • Manage sponsored children of GNI in Thai Binh, Dan Chu and Thong Nhat wards (~800 children).
  • Perform direct and indirect management of sponsored children through local child sponsorship volunteer network.
  • Implement, take responsibility for importing and management of data from reports of sponsored children on Child management system, including activities: new child (CIF), Annual child letter (ACL), Annual progress report (APR), Drop out, Gift money letter (GML). Be responsible for archiving documents of sponsored children in the office as stipulated.
  • Take responsibility in preparing proposal, implementing activities as prescribed by GNI, including activities: Home visiting, case management, health examination, nutrition support for sponsored children. 
  • Maintain activities, manage and provide capacity development support for local volunteer team; enhance participation in sponsorship activities of GNI.
  • Establish the relationship with partnership system, guide partners to take part in activities, improve effectiveness of supporting activities by GNI for sponsored children and community members.
  • Develop annual Plan of Action (POA).
  • Report tasks periodically and/or upon request of managing levels, counsel with managing levels and develop plan to resolve problems when arising/ needing correction.
  • Perform other tasks assigned by managerial levels;

3. QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

Education: Graduate from the fields of social work, education, sociology or relevant fields.

Work experience

  • Minimum 1 year of similar role;
  • Knowledge about eco-social situation in working area
  • Knowledge about law, policy about child’s law, child protection work

Skills

  • Dynamic, reliable and able to work under pressure.
  • Ability to work independently and work with the team;
  • Good organizing skills and interpersonal skills;
  • Good English language skills in writing & speaking;
  • Good use of personal computer utilizing word processing and spreadsheet software programs
