Background: The joint VCCI-UNIDO-UNEP project “Promotion of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) among Vietnamese Business Community for Sustainable Consumption and Production (SCP)” works to provide groundswell input to already initiated policy initiatives, in particular the commitment to prepare and implement a national SCP action plan, the National Action Plan on Green Growth, and announcements for the translation and domestication of Vietnamese CSR guidance standard (based on or derived from ISO26000). UNDP Vietnam seeks 01 qualified International Technical Expert - An analysis of steel production in Vietnam with focus on energy efficiency and reduction of Greenhouse Gases (GHG) emissions.
The objective is to identify and quantify the current GHG baseline and future GHG emission scenarios, mitigation potential and the GHG marginal abatement costs within the steel sector in Viet Nam. The review is limited to steel production based on Electric Arc Furnace (EAF).
The selection will be based on a competitive basis and will comply with UNDP procurement regulations.
