The Mekong Program is a PATH business unit composed of country teams in Vietnam and Myanmar. We also provide assistance to public health programs in Cambodia and Laos. We do not have any active projects in Thailand at this time. Our regional, multi-country approach is enabling PATH to maximize regional talent and expertise, learn and replicate in similar environments, and address public health threats such as multi-drug resistant tuberculosis and malaria that know no borders.

PATH is implementing the USAID-funded Healthy Markets project in Vietnam. The overall goal of this project is to grow a viable commercial market for HIV-related goods and services that are capable of meeting the needs of populations facing the greatest risks of HIV. In order to achieve this overall goal, PATH and its partners will focus on the following three objectives:

  1. Increase private sector and local investment in the market for condoms and other HIV-related goods and services
  2. Increase demand for condoms and other HIV-related goods and services among key populations facing the greatest risks
  3. Increase private sector supply of condoms and other HIV-related goods and services among key populations facing the greatest risks

PATH is currently recruiting for a Social Media Coordinator based at PATH office, Hanoi City, Vietnam. The Social Media Coordinator will primarily support the marketing and communications activities of Healthy Markets project, especially social media component. S/he may also support any other Marketing and Communication activities of PATH as required and will work under the management of the Senior Marketing and Communications Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Support to coordinate Marketing and Communication activities in Hanoi and other provinces and cities
  • Coordinate off-line events in Hanoi and other provinces and cities
  • Create and manage online marketing content for various platforms, including the Website, Facebook and YouTube, and manage the online responses to the community.
  • Support to design, develop and manage online promotions and social media ad. campaigns
  • Provide Marcom technical assistance to social enterprises and CBOs that PATH/ Healthy Markets is working with
  • Assist with and manage the general day-to-day administrative tasks of all social media campaigns including data collection and reporting
  • Support other activities as requested and agreed such as reporting

Required skills and experience:

  • Educational background in communication, marketing or other relevant fields
  • Proven experience of performing social media activities
  • Demonstrable experience developing creative social media content and effectively managing social media channels and content schedules (around one year of experience)
  • Experience working with local partners such as social enterprises, community-based organizations is a plus
  • Knowledge of HIV and LGBT issues is preferred
  • Knowledge and experiences in videos production and editing is a plus
  • Fluent in Vietnamese with a professional level of English

Must have legal authorization to work in Veitnam.
