DAI is recruiting for the upcoming USAID-funded Enhancing Worker-Management Relations in Vietnam program, a four-year project based in Hanoi. It is expected to start in late 2017.  The activity aims to strengthened Vietnamese capacity to ensure Vietnamese workers and employers engaging in Social Dialogue to communicate effectively on issues ranging from worker grievances to production practices, ensuring continued improvements in productivity, stability and worker rights in targeted light manufacturing sectors.

Position Overview:

The Enhancing Worker-Management Relations program is expected to be a four-year program beginning in late 2017. The position will be based in Hanoi.  DAI is looking for Social Dialogue and Labor Relations Specialists who are experienced in negotiation, consultation or exchange of information between, or among, representatives of governments, employers and workers, on issues of common interest.

Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in a relevant field such as law, public affairs, business or social work;

  • Minimum of seven years of relevant experience working in labor and social dialogue initiatives;

  • Experience applying various models to mediate between employers and employees, such as alternative dispute resolution;

  • Experience developing curriculum for enterprises on social dialogue;

  • Experience working in or managing donor-funded programs, preferably in Asia.

  • Proven interpersonal skills and exceptional oral communication skills;

  • Demonstrated leadership, versatility, and integrity;

  • Fluency in English, including good writing skills.
