Position Vacancy: Small Business Development Advisor

Union Aid Abroad APHEDA in partnership with the Center for Environmental monitoring and engineering of Ha Tinh (CEME) is implementing the project: “Developing Community Resilience and Adaptation to Climate Change in Ha Tinh province - Building Counter Measures and Economic Sustainability”. The project aimed to build the capacity of the coastal community to adapt to climate change and improve food security through the establishment of sustainable livelihoods which are resilient to climate change and natural disasters. This livelihood transition will focus on the introduction of aquaculture and the establishment of mangrove forests and aquaculture cooperatives.

The project involves activity of Small Business Development consultancy. The objective of this consultancy is to provide support and facilitate a small business model based on aquaculture farming which is financially sustainable and assist fishermen to make the livelihood transition to aquaculture; as well as for small scale aqua farmers to scale up their production in Ha Tinh Province, Vietnam.

We are seeking the Advisor who needs to meet the following requirements; (1) skills and experiences in analyzing small business or micro-credit or micro-finance in Vietnam, (2) work experiences in rural livelihood or food security project with a focus on sustainable income generation planning, (3) Fluent spoken and written Vietnamese and English.
