Senior Finance Manager

Orbis is a global non-profit organization headquartered in New York that works to prevent and treat avoidable blindness through hands-on training, public health education, and improved access to quality eye care, through partnerships with local health care organizations. Since 1982, Orbis has been a pioneer in global eye health, and has worked in 92 countries. Orbis’s story began with our first Flying Eye Hospital, a fully equipped mobile teaching hospital on board an aircraft. In addition to our Flying Eye Hospital programs, we have long-term programs in countries including Bangladesh, China, Ethiopia, India, South Africa, Vietnam and Zambia – with additional programs in parts of Latin America and the Caribbean. In Vietnam, Orbis has been working in Vietnam since 1996 and Country Representative Office was established in Hanoi in 2003.

To support the expansion of ORBIS’s programs in Vietnam and the growing of the organization, we are seeking an experienced and qualified Vietnamese national candidates to fill the positions of SENIOR FINANCE MANAGER.

Main responsibilities:

The Senior Finance Manager will have day to day responsibility for Orbis Vietnam country office’s financial processes to ensure the smooth flow of transactions. He/she will maintain financial reporting, ensuring that key stakeholders (ie: Country Director, Program Managers, Project Partners, Head Quarter) receive timely and reliable information on which to base decisions. He/she will lead the Finance team and support Country Director and Program Management team in developing the financial management capacity of the organization, ensures that Orbis Vietnam has sound financial systems with robust internal controls, in accordance with organizational, donor standards, and legislative requirements. He/she will be responsible for preparing financial donor reporting, ensuring this is accurately and punctually delivered.

Qualifications/ Experience and Key Competencies:

Education:

• A degree in Accounting, and Accounting Qualification. Master’s Degree in Finance or MBA is desirable

Experience:

• Track record of 5 years or more in managing financial operation. Experience working with international organization in the field of international development, public health , or other related fields would be an advantage.
