Senior Accountant

Nordic Assistance to Vietnam (NAV) is a Norwegian NGO established in Vietnam since 1994. NAV’s is promoting development in two program areas; 1) Climate justice and 2) Health.

NAV is recruiting one full time senior accountant based in Hue City starting from 1 November 2012 to 31 December 2013.

Main responsibilities:

- Ensure that financial transactions are in compliance with general accepted accounting principles.
- Secure compliance with internal control procedures 
- Monthly financial reporting to the Financial Manager
- Develop the accounting system and capacity building for partners and staff together with the Finance Manager
- Handling and filing vouchers and all financial documentation.

Required qualifications:

- University degree in  accounting or economics
- Minimum 3 years experience in a similar position
- Familiar with and professional experience to handle accounting software 
- Good communication skills, including written and oral, in English
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook computer programs
