The Center for Agricultural Policy (CAP) is a scientific and technological institution established under the Institute of Policy and Strategy for Agricultural and Rural Development.

Since the establishment, CAP has adopted the Centre of Excellence Model and earned good professional reputation for its reliable and high-quality consulting service. CAP’s key business areas are policy research and analysis, monitor and evaluation, provision of independent policy consulting and training services, in agricultural trade and commodities, rural development, resource management, rural/market information systems. CAP has built up a large, regional and international network of partners and customers.

CAP is recruiting the qualified researchers in the following fields: (i) Policy and strategy analysis on inter-regional, sectorial and inter-sectorial policies of agriculture, forestry and fishery; (ii) Policy analysis on international trade and integration policies (iii) Policy analysis on environmental economics and climate change; (iv) Policy analysis on sustainable development of agriculture, forestry and fishery; (v) Research on rural institution and social development.

Requirements

  • Master Degree or higher degrees in Economics; Development Economics; Agricultural Economics; Public Policy; Application Statistics; Econometrics; Mathematical Economics;
  • Rural Sociology or other related fields.
  • Experience in quantitative analysis and familiar with at least one data analysis and modeling software (such as STATA, SPSS, Frontier 1.4, GAMS, v.v.)
  • Excellent writing skills in both Vietnamese and English
  • Ability to work under high pressure
  • Good command of English: IELTS 6.0, TOEFL 500- Excellent skills in information collection and consolidation
  • Ability to work independently and in groups; Willingness to travel to project sites.
  • We prefer candidates who have working experience in agricultural policy analysis
