They are currently seeking a talented and motivated Vietnamese individual to work full time with our dynamic team in Hanoi for following position:
Job Title: RESEARCHER
Report to: Research Manager
Job purposes: This position will work under the Research Manager for a range of different quantitative and qualitative research studies for program development, monitoring and evaluation. The incumbent is responsible for development of quantitative and qualitative research design, research tools and instruments, selection and working with local research partners, data analysis and report writing, including dissemination to donors, government partners and stakeholders.

Major duties:
- Manage the development and implementation of quantitative research studies with the support from Research Manager
- Work in development and implementation of qualitative research studies, including test questionnaires if necessary with focus groups, ensuring accurate sampling/recruitment strategy meets study needs, analyzing report data and developing appropriate outputs (reports, presentations etc.)
- Conduct other research activities (assessments etc.) and improve use and availability of secondary research resources, networking with relevant agencies, and overseeing secondary data analyses as necessary.
- Assure that study design, questionnaire development, and research methodology provide departments with the high quality of information required, and actionable inputs to inform and improve programming.
- Work with our stakeholders (donors, other implementing agencies, provincial partners) to design studies and ensure use of research findings.
- Collaborate with local research agencies to implement studies and widely distribute findings.
- Oversee and manage field activities such as data collection and data entry with local research agencies, and/or consultants, and ensure quality control over study design, field implementation and data collection.

Selection criteria:
It is anticipated that candidates will have the capacity to be trained in these skills where they do not currently have a background
- Background in public health, statistics, epidemiology/public health, or other related field
- Experience with quantitative survey research including sampling, questionnaire design, etc.
- Experience with computer software for data entry and analysis, including Epidata and SPSS. Experience with Access or other database management programs will be a plus.
- Strong written and spoken communication skills in English and Vietnamese required
