PSI currently seeks an experienced Reproductive Health Quality Assurance & Training Consultant to join our dynamic, results-oriented team in Hanoi as a part-time consultant.

Job Title: Reproductive Health (RH) Quality Assurance & Training Consultant

Report to: Health Services Coordinator

Type of Appointment: Part-time

Job summary: The RH QA & Training Consultant will contribute to a PSI’s efforts to improve women’s health as a result of expanded contraceptive choice. Specifically, the RH QA & Training Consultant will design, lead and monitor training and other quality assurance initiatives and tools designed to build private sector provider capacity to safely and appropriately provide client-centered family planning counseling and service delivery. Trainings will emphasize the distinct benefits associated with historically underutilized effective modern methods, including injectable and implant contraceptives, within the context of informed choice. The RH QA & Training Consultant will be responsible for ensuring all RH training programs and materials are consistent with national guidelines as well as global best practices. Training materials will be specifically designed for use with private sector providers accessible to youth and other underserved women i.e. pharmacies, registered private clinics and private midwives.

Major duties:

  • Lead the design, implementation and monitoring of RH service delivery protocols and related Quality Assurance activities (training, post-training supportive supervision and monitoring) to improve private provider capacity to offer quality family planning services in the context of informed choice.
  • Collaborate with PSI’s marketing department to design tools and other communication materials to build provider competency to appropriately and safely offer injectable, implant and immediate post-partum IUD services in the context of informed choice.
  • Document RH programming and QA activities, results, lessons as requested.
  • Assist with national/provincial partnership activities

Selection criteria:

  • At least 5 years of experience providing reproductive health/family planning services.
  • Previous experience designing and leading family planning/reproductive health training and other QA activities.
  • Midwife, Nursing or Medical Doctor degree.
  • Excellent English verbal and written English, as well as Vietnamese communication skills.
