We are looking for 01 Project Officer, Food Practice, WWF-Viet Nam, based in Can Tho.

Major Functions

DFCD project development and implementation

  • Planning, implementation and monitoring and management of activities for the project “Integrated rice-shrimp bankable project- stage 2”.
  • Work with DFCD Mekong team, WWF Practice Leads and technical staff, consultants, private sector and partners to implement the project. Conducting testing pilots of rice-shrimp model 110 ha (50 ha in Ca Mau, 30 ha in Tra Vinh and 30 ha in Ben Tre).
  • Supporting the DFCD Mekong Delta project to explore bankable projects in the Mekong Delta provinces.
  • Support for the development and revision of the Project’s work plan, prepare progress reports (TPR) and project’s monitoring and evaluation.
  • Support in preparation, design and implementation of technical surveys and studies including TOR and bidding procedure if required.
  • Provide regular updates to the line manager on the implementation process.

Representation, Communication, Networking

  • Support to the development of communication materials (press release, conference,…) on results of the project and to develop and maintain related sections on the WWF website/news;
  • Represent Food Practice in relevant national and international meetings, conferences and workshops as appropriate;

For Other Tasks

  • Support administrative tasks for Cantho Field office;
  • Other relevant tasks as assigned by the line manager.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in environment, aquaculture, farming system fields.
  • At least 3 years working experience in aquaculture/environment/rural development.
  • Experience in the organic or responsible standards in rice (organic) or/and shrimp (ASC).
  • Experience of working with CSOs, private sector, Government officials, local communities and/or donors at all levels.
  • Knowledge of M&E methodology, quality assurance.
  • Knowledge of WWF’s PPMS is an advantage.
  • Demonstrates WWF behaviors in ways of working: strive for impact, listen deeply, collaborate openly and innovate fearlessly.
