Vacancy: Project Officer – Media, Civil Society and Child Rights
Based in Hanoi

They are looking for a Vietnamese national for the position of Project Officer (Media, Civil Society and Child Rights) to join Child Rights Governance team (CRG). The successful candidate will be based in Hanoi with frequent travel to project sites.

Main Responsibilities:
The Project Officer is responsible for ensuring effective, efficient and cost-sensitive Media, Civil Society and Child Rights project management in close coordination with partners under the guidance of the CRG Manager. The Project Officer is expected to contribute to the overall program planning, monitoring/reviewing, evaluation and reporting as well as to support other component projects to ensure the program interrelated coherence and synergies.

Key Competencies:
- University degree or equivalent in social sciences;
- 2-3 year experience/knowledge on children’s rights and/or media is essential; commitment to rights based approach to programming and monitoring of the implementation of the United Nations’ Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC);
- Familiarity with civil society concept and different ongoing perceptions of civil society situation in Vietnam;
- Good understanding of socio-political development in Vietnam, including the work of NGOs and local partners;
- Good  project management skills, including participatory budgeting and monitoring;
- Good facilitation,  negotiation, networking and advocacy skills;
- Good interpersonal skills , and high team working spirit;
- Excellent English and Vietnamese written and oral communication skills;
- Ability to organise and coordinate complex activities within interrelated schedules and timelines;
- Computer literacy;
- Ability and willingness to travel.
