Project Officer – Childhood Project/Prevention Pillar

World Vision International – Vietnam (WVV) invites Vietnamese competent candidates for the following position:
PROJECT OFFICER – CHILDHOOD PROJECT/PREVENTION PILLAR(1 position), work base:  Hanoi.

Main Responsibilities:

As Project Officer, managing the technical support and project functions needed for the effective implementation of Project Childhood (Prevention) in WV Vietnam.  Technical responsibilities will include leading on particular aspects of the national program under the supervision of the National Coordinator. This would involve generally maintaining relationships with local/national partners, monitoring projects, conducting project capacity building activtities, gathering data, attending meeting and assisting in drafting project reports where needed. Manage a dedicated project document and information system; maintain contact database; assist in preparing and submitting approval requests to the government, project related studies, activity plans, timetables, budgets, monitoring data summaries, and annual reports.  Assist in financial management, donor and partner communications, facilitation and documentation of meetings, and preparation and implementation of selected activities as requested by Project Coordinator.  
Knowledge, Skills and Attitude Required:

Education:
- Bachelor degree in relevant discipline.  
Skills & Knowledge:
- Fluency in spoken and written English and in Vietnamese language.
- Demonstrated skills and experience  working in project administration including fast-paced handling of office systems, communications, business calendar, activity preparation, document/information support.
- Experience supporting program managers’ participation in high level government and stakeholder functions for organizational representation, collaboration and negotiation.
- Demonstrated ability to support program management including support for program planning, scheduling, activity planning, financial management, reporting, and program-based action research
- Demonstrated ability to implement complex project operations including handling multiple concurrent work-streams, building teamwork, inter-agency collaboration, quality implementation and engaging with skill in cross-cultural environments.
- Independent, resourceful and self-motivated.
- Strong information technology skills and competency in using Microsoft Office and database software.
Desirable:
- Skills in supporting Community-focused Research, Monitoring and Evaluation and Child Protection
Experience:

Essential:
- Minimum five years working in the development sector.
- Experience working in the child protection sector or human exploitation issues (trafficking, child abuse, children in conflict with the Law...)
- Experience supporting project networking with high level stakeholders and government.
- Private sector cooperation experience
- Experience providing technical support for capacity building activities.
Desirable:
- Experience supporting multi-sector collaboration/cooperation.
- Experience working with donors such as Aus AID, EU or USAID etc.
